Hi Brian,

I am currently working on a thesis, to be graduated from a french business school. The subject of my thesis is "how social media could help sport clubs".
I am both taking in consideration BtC opportunities and a BtB opportunities.

For the BtB aspect as many did before me, I believe that social media could help sport organizations to better prospect new sponsors. Indeed thanks to the social medias we can get more information and connect with key contacts in easier way.
I also believe that social must be used in order to establish a strong personal relationship with the sponsors and to increase the networking among the sponsors.
Finally, social networks gives more visibility to the sports organizations.

Do you see other opportunities that social networks could provide to the sport organization to improve their sponsorship strategy?

Best regards

With this suspicion on my brain I set out recently to do a little research using baseball teams as my subjects. The results of my [...]

College fans like Twitter more than Facebook for sports

If America’s major universities want to engage avid sports fans during live events, they should pay more attention to Twitter than Facebook, and they should forget about Foursquare altogether; At least what our data seem to be saying. As part of our ongoing “Social Sports Poll,” we recently surveyed social media fans and followers of [...]
