Hi Hannah,
The Boston Bruins are considering our platform, as well as other hockey teams and leagues.
Our software platform allows people to send video content "outbound" to help sell tickets, sell merchandise, player profiles, game recaps, etc.
See examples on www.flimp.net
Thanks,
Terry

Hi Hannah- thanks for the comment. My job as an intern truly varies day to day as I have different responsibilities (both PR and CR) depending on the day.

On each game day, I'm responsible for setting up the press box and media lounge, getting updated stats to our management and the visiting team's management throughout the game, transcribing intermission interviews for reporters, and handling any tasks that come up. During the playoffs, I had to pass along the microphone to reporters at every press conference. Some game days, we'll do a puck draw or silent auction to raise money for the Detroit Red Wings Foundation and I'll have to man the table(s) before and even during the game in the concourse.

On non-game days, I'm responsible for sending out autographed items to various charities and NPOs who request a donation for their upcoming fundraiser. To go along with that, I update the donation log as we send out items. We send out 150-300 items a month so it keeps me busy! In addition, I have to answer fan mail that is addressed to the team (and not a specific player) and address other media/fan inquiries.

The 2008-2009 season will be my second one with the team and I'm hoping to get more responsibility this year such as having a larger role in the planning of a CR event and added media responsibility, but we'll see!

What are you doing as a CR manager with Tri-City Americans Hockey?

I've been in hockey for almost 8 months, I'm also from the NBA, I worked for the Sonics two years ago. How long have you been with Nashville? What are you doing for them?

I saw that we drafted the goalie, I'm so new to hockey as I recently came from the NBA so I'm enrolled in Hockey 101.
