Twitter in sports marketing?

Twitter can be overwhelming, especially when you have a lot of contacts and too many people talking about what they ate for breakfast. Personally I only dabble with Twitter, I find it a bit overwhelming. We're testing it out with the Chargers. This year during training camp we will attempt to use it as a communication tool and see if fans attending practices find it useful. For example we can tweet "North field, seven-on-seven drills starting." Theoretically, fans on the South field will get a… Continue

SXSW is a great excuse to get to Austin and meet people and learn a few things. But if it takes Lance opening a bike shop to get here... well then so be it. Head on down. The weather is always nice and the food aint have bad.

Hi Joel-

Been reading with great interest some of your blog postings as I'm educating myself on this space.

I'm working right now with Real Time Matrix that has some very cool widget-like technology that Major League Soccer and its teams are using with great success. I've also gotten great feedback form a number of other sports entities.

Would love to pick your brain and see if there is an opportunity either with the Chargers or the NFL. In a previous life have worked with some present NFL coaches, like Rod Marinelli, but this is a VERY different space, to say the least.

Anyway, you can check me out at:

check out RTM at:

Feel free to give me shout at 760-325-7693. I'm located in Palm Springs.

Cheers.

We are looking for a limited number of knowledgeable, high use fantasy players to beta test a new fantasy tool.

It is a site, tool and app to organize your teams and have one portal to view all live scoring pages. There will be 2 additional gaming elements to follow during the coming months.  It will cover the four major sports in addition to nascar and golf.  The soft launch for the site is August and the app will be available in September.

It might take an hour of your time to grasp the functionality and any feedback would be appreciated.  You will also receive an entry into our inaugural $50,000 suicide pool.

Regards,

Curtis
