I have to say I was impressed with the interaction. I've been to many conferences but haven't seen this much participation and dialogue. It was refreshing to see so many people who had an interest, had an opinion, and had a passion for this topic. Thanks, Pat, for your efforts in putting this forum together.

Thanks for the co-ordinating the event, it's nice to have a sports focused group sharing what works in the digital world. I especially liked hearing about your Colts work, Dan Haribisons examples with the TrailBlazers and the GM/Chevy example of an online promo with NASCAR. While the products and services folks are good to know about, I'd like to see more of the sports marketers giving examples.

Having been to several Web2.0 conferences lately, it was refreshing to attend this event. I enjoyed the fact that the focus was spent on marketing and not technology. Only suggestions would be to try and make it a day-long event. It felt rushed at the end and I'm sure there was enough conversation to allow for additional panels.

Looking forward to future events. Keep up the great work!

Great event...period. The speakers, panels, and issues that are facing the space were discussed in an open and non-selling environment that got people involved. Maybe an all day event will be in order next time to take a deeper dive into question and answers from the experts?

Best summit this year.

I agree with the earlier comments - there's definitely a day's worth of material, it'd be great to hear more from the teams/sports themselves, and the conference was definitely a success!

It was a fun and educational time - terrific venue as well!

I thought it ws well done Pat. It might be worth exploring how we could extend its reach into more brands/agencies and more League presence. It was a good showing of publishers/developers and teams with some brands. I thought the topics were spot on relevant and the panelists did a good job...

Very professional, relevant and intimate. A much-needed niche to be served. The value we took away is 6 potential new partners were met with some quality facetime, discussion and now follow up. It would be good to have everyone in the room stand up, introduce themselves, their brand and their :08 elevator pitch or specifically why they are there. And consider having a 101 session or Q&A on emerging topics, for instance, widgets (not assuming the entire audience even knows the basics). I heard some saying they didn't even know what a widget is. I'm sure there would be an expert in the room on any topic to educate others. Just some thoughts. Hope it provokes thought. Keep it going Pat!

Great Work Pat. There were some definite Ah-ha moments...for example Kurtis' "If you want my business, then you are going to have to take the time to know my business...". The Measurement panel also injected some very interesting brand perspective on the industry.

I agree with the idea of making it a full day. My recommendation would be to add a module that included Brands (not agencies) talking about what they are looking for most from their sports sponsorships, what they haven't been getting from their traditional and new-media channels, and involve them in the vetting of the Web2.0 case studies and opportunities. It comes back to what Kurtis Katz and Young-Bean Song were saying about delivering against the core objectives of the brand - measurable impact on purchase intent. This is the real difference maker that interactive can bring to the table.

Both the NYC and San Francisco summits were excellent in terms of introduction of concepts and case studies. Chicago can build on this by showing how all of the different areas discussed can be integrated into positive results for a brand.

Overall it was a wonderful event in a great setting. I agree with the other comments that a full day would make the experience even better. I thought the panel topics were well chosen as were the panelists themselves. Here are some thoughts.

-Maybe have "Killer Apps" start with a brief "online tech 101" introduction to make sure everyone is level set on the different options currently out there before the discussion jumps right into the killer ones

-What about adding a legal type session where topics could be discussed like league rules on sharing/publishing data? This came up in some of the sessions and from my perspective it is an important topic to understand as it can have a big impact on the online world of sports

-If the session was extended to a day a breakout roundtable session would be great where a representative "host" from each of the panel discussions could lead a small table discussion on more focused q/a on that topic. People could then choose which to attend. You could even have a shift after 15-20 min or so allowing people to attend a couple roundtables depending on the time available.

-Would having some panel representation from sports media outlets provide additional insight to get their perspective on engaging sports fans online?

-What about bringing in some fans themselves to get their views? Maybe the top users of mycolts.net could be treated to the session in exchange for them sharing their thoughts openly on what they like and don't like.

First I wanted to say thanks for putting this Summit together. From my perspective and others, this was a sensational event for any sports firm to attend hands down.

Anyone who is serious about raising the bar in the Sports Marketing world will not only get educated on various other tools to boost their business knowledge, but they will also get the chance to contribute their own ideals, intellect and experiences with their peers.

Coming in from an amateur sports point of view, I came away with insight that will help me provide what one person on the panel described as the "cross network of all sports." Since the entire room was assembled with some of the Western region's most talented professionals in their fields, it will be possible to reach this feat from the collaboration of the group. In addition, Kirk's response really hit home and believe me, I took it to heart.

Thanks again for the summit, I hope you make your last stop in the Midwest (Texas) to get the whole nation's input and involvement.

I really enjoyed the VIP Summit in San Francisco. The focus of the discussions and thought leadership/insight provided by the attendess was unique as it was an uncluttered discussion not often found at other events. Looking forward to future events.
